It's once again "The stage is set" for newcomer bands from Munich and surrounding areas! On 26 June in the TonHalle place the seventh edition of the tone row. Three young bands want to bring the gallery into the TonHalle to rock!
The Young Chinese dogs originated from a project by singer-songwriter Nick Meier riding in January 2011. By 2009 Nick had released an EP under that name, the first sensation. The Süddeutsche Zeitung called at that time in their online edition of the EP as "the hottest debut of the year" and Tomte head Thees Uhlmann praised the acoustic music to the BR Zündfunk: "Insane beautiful song to be heart ... may be the one Britpop ballad ? call Early 2011, Oliver joined guitarist Anders Hendriksson to the project. What began as a vague idea, 2009, maturing within a few weeks to a tangible concept: "may be played that hand may be worn to the gig," With high-profile changing line-up the Young Chinese Dogs play in the first six months, twenty concerts, including the Tollwood festival in Munich at the invitation of the Süddeutsche Zeitung.The Mama Jokes, founded in 2008 inspired, with a mixture of danceable indie rock, Brit-pop and house influences. Indie guitars with melodic organ riffs, pounding drums make driving and rolling basslines. In the middle of the music is the voice of a charming singer, who is supported by thoughtful background vocals. With stylish compositions and secure a convincing live performance occupied the first place at Mama Jokes House of Music 2011, the newcomer contest MHMK of Munich.
The Tramps Thursday from Munich whiz. They filled in their first concert at the Munich club scene effortlessly 59:1. The music of these four young gentlemen, is the danceable "Kooks"-style, reminiscent of the cool Drive Mando Diao and sometimes even to the early Stones - a bit retro, but its own.
After delivering the first live recorded EP "Green Carpet sessions" with the scene anthem "Summer is Over" is found in ex-Kook Max Rafferty an ardent fan who brings the band as support on his tour. "You're a brilliant band and great guys too" - so what if the master says ...
