Lost in London with Jack Savoretti on 'Take Me Home'

In just two weeks we will have the opportunity to enjoy the third studio album by Jack Savoretti. It seems that previously heard "Before The Storm" will give a tour of the screw to the warm melodic delicacy that has characterized the Italian-Anglo parts. That taste so acoustic accurately rounded pieces like 'Wonder' and 'Harder Than Easy' has become, now, in a production styled with a wide band covering his back to Jack's good.

As long as you can start enjoying what awaits you here I leave you with the official music video for 'Take Me Home', where Jack Savoretti is lost in the heart of London and we will continue with a panoramic camera very similar to Darren became fashionable to Aranofski with "Pi" and "Requiem for a Dream." Seldom feeling disoriented had been a sweet experience.

Peruvian band on the American Rockers Gaia

Congratulations guys.

The country rock is breaking through internationally, and the proof is the Gaia band that will travel to Chile to join the American tour Rockers on 11 May.

Gaia has ten year career, four albums, and is currently promoting his latest recording material, "Gyroscopes, coordinates and Cloud Factory."

The Rockers American tour comes from the need to expand the market for independent national music related neighboring markets, the search for creative and cultural exchange to achieve this goal.

Blood and surf rock youth 'This One's Different' Howler

Perhaps you may remember it not but the truth is that in January we wrote a lengthy post on Howler, one of the phenomena arising from Minneapolis who are paying more cane in the area surf rock. That desire so intoxicating (and frantic!) That dominates the sound basis of their songs puts them at a level matched only by the odd fantastic group as Surfer Blood. Taking advantage will turn to Europe in July, have continued Howler promotion of "Give Up America" network up to the crazy music video for the single "This One's Different '.

I think it's impossible to find any logic to the supposed "script" in this video clip. Yet we must understand that the blood spurts and follies worthy of a boy of fifteen years is something of everyday life of a band that even musically not known for being extremely rational. Think of one thing: 'This One's Different' is a subject for laughter, but also for alocarse, to cry and to feel the teenage thug yet all of us. And if you do not feel that point of frenzy and madness, do not worry; Howler not feel sorry about it either today or tomorrow, or past. It's that irreverent scoundrels are. And that's the secret of his success.

Love at First Hearing

A bombastic sound experience: Blues meets soul, meets electronics, meets hip hop. Belleruche on Wednesday to come with her fourth album "Roller Chain" to Munich 59to1. In the Times to read that the band was a mix of Portishead and Blondie "in a blue-soaked, wicked session." No better way to describe the music of the London trio. Half of our editorial team has already secured cards, the other half is crying desperately. For more about the new board of Kathrin deBoer and Co. would like to read, may click here.

Death of Adam Yauch (MCA) of the Beastie Boys at 47 years old

Today's tragic news: Adam Yauch, founder of the legendary Beastie Boys known as "MCA", has died of cancer at age 47. It appears that your illness had intensified in recent weeks but much of the press remained somewhat outside the critical state was experiencing one of the most important figures in the emergence of hip hop 80's.

Yauch was born in Brooklyn and began playing bass since very young in a Beastie Boys built by John Berry, Kate Schellenbach, Michael Diamond and himself. BB initially were a punk / hardcore but it was 22 years old when Yauch & Co. began to attract worldwide attention thanks to "Licensed To Ill", debut album was released under Def Jam Records in 1986. Together, the Beastie Boys released many successful albums (Who does not remember "Ill Communication" or "Hello Nasty"?) And obtained awards of all kinds, from Grammys to awards at the MTV Video Music Awards.

A Yauch was diagnosed with cancer in 2009, which caused the delay in the release of "Hot Sauce Committee." Since then the life of Adam has been in continuous battle with a disease that, unfortunately, I ended up taking a few hours ago. Today both the world of music and the arts in general (Yauch also produced excellent music and films like "Awesome, I Fuckin 'Shot That") pays reverence to a teacher who taught us that music can break down the barriers of any genre that can get you assign.

Rest in peace, Adam.

Metric - Youth Without Youth

Metric characters are again today with 'Youth With Youth'. The first single from "Synthetica" was unveiled just a few minutes and we could play a couple of times. You can enjoy the song through the band's official Soundcloud. In the words of Emily Haynes at the same Soundcloud, Metric concebieron 'Youth Without Youth "from a verse in which he spoke about the decline of society as seen through the eyes of a girl.

After hearing a couple of times I have to admit some confusion about the simple. The introduction has a priceless punch but the rest of the issue, although as Metric to keep this point in its melody, so it may sound too redundant. It misses the point organic 'Help I'm Alive', or at least that degree of power that made us mad with 'Stadium Love'.

Canadians will announce tomorrow another big news concerning her debut album. What we face may be waiting for the new LP? Hopefully at least the rest of issues are closer to the magic of "Fantasies" that what is seen in this single.
