Jack White, the limit of the law in the video for 'Freedom At 21'
We enjoyed the surreal world of AG Rojas in the video for 'Sixteen Saltines' and also the transparent simplicity of 'Love Interruption'. Nevertheless we are still missing to see a video clip in which former The White Stripes Jack White desmarcase what it is: one of the best guitarists in the alternative scene. This is fair tribute has been awarded through the video of 'Freedom At 21' where White shows his guitar skills while trying to deal with (seductive) police force.
Hype Williams is the key to this gimmicky music video work so spectacularly. The director is a familiar figure in the Hip Hopera (in fact worked on clips as 'Stupid Hoe' by Nicki Minaj and 'All Of The Lights' by Kanye West) and this leads to monumental productions director, where the figure of see exalted artist to levels that exceed the unsuspected.
Maybe some do not like the video but recognize that it is a time worked at the technical level. Who wants to narrative when a smug Jack White on the screen?

Art in Public Space: Installation "replica" in the courtyard garden
From the look around the City Hall 19/07/2012:
"From Saturday, 21 July to Sunday 21 October stage, the artist and fashion designer Ayzit Bostan and the photographer and industrial designer Gerhardt Kellermann, the arcades of Munich's Hofgarten. With her installation "replica" which is reminiscent of the fluttering curtains in Piazza San Marco in Venice, they deal with the Italian reminiscences in the Munich architecture.
The art project change Bostan and Kellermann (Munich) temporary public space. Their concept was selected in competition "aspects of design and design in public space" from over 260 submissions - next to "Reconstructing Future," an idea of Dellbrügge and de Moll (Berlin), who 40 years after the Olympic Games in Munich their appearance deal. For the implementation of the two artistic projects, the state capital Munich 230,000 euros from funds for art in public space.
For all art projects in public spaces, which are funded by the Cultural Department, the public is paramount. For "replica" Bostan and Kellermann chose the busy courtyard. You can reach her poetic installation attention of strollers and visitors, tourists and locals, business people, Barpublikum, visitors to the exhibition at the Kunstverein and also those who work adjacent to the arcades. Her eyes - and perhaps her camera - will be addressed in a new way on the 88 arches of the arcades gangs. About four meters long, bright curtains that are attached there to achieve a theatrical effect, and an interplay of light and shade that allow draping, ruffles and co.
"The ability to learn surprising location of new artistic interventions is an essential feature of art in public spaces. Replica 'provides a different perspective on seemingly well-known and familiar as the Munich Hofgarten. That we associate with the art project of a charity campaign for the restoration of the frescoes and arches and the Bavarian Palace Department could help straightforward, is a nice side effect, "said Dr. Hans-Georg Küppers, Cultural Officer, City of Munich.
"Replica" is on Friday 20 July, by 19 clock in the courtyard garden with Councilwoman Ingrid anchors (SPD) on behalf of the Mayor, Arts and Culture, Dr. Hans-Georg Küppers and the President of the Bavarian Administration of State-owned Palaces, Gardens and Lakes, Bernd Schreiber and the designer Konstantin Grcic opened. Rock In Rio 2012 in Madrid (July 7, 2012)
In the middle of absolute nothing rests, in recent years, an invention called The City of Rock. Every two summers, the machine starts up and hosts the macro festival Rock in Rio, that in six years of life in our country (after nearly 30 in Brazil and 8 in Portugal), has taken shape and it is almost a classic. And that which is neither city nor has a lot of rock and is in Rio, but in a sectoral south of Madrid. But his media character, for good or evil, is undeniable.
Criticize him for being more shopping and theme park music event and for bringing artists to Top 40 rock bands. The package of consumerism we buy the ticket is questionable: are things like El Corte Ingles, fitness classes, a Ferris wheel and other attractions that populate the city. Rock, remember. Other amenities not support rise to complaint: free buses (many free buses, not one every hour), artificial turf (and nothing to eat dust), queues and waiting times reasonable bar, bathroom and between concerts and even price lower than the average of the capital. No I comment where I threw the rest of the night after the discovery of the cups to 6 euros ... Some festivals in the area could learn, because at the Rock in Rio almost anything (zip line across the stage and in which was hung enough people, for example, no) works as it should. But that's another story. In the musical, we break a lance for at least last night: only the names that shaped the poster of that last day of festival deserve our attention. And if you like rock, also yours.
The evening was falling when Gogol Bordello came on the scene. Although these New Yorkers may not be as mainstream immigrants to leave in the chronicles that you have read today in the press (or maybe he just played too soon for the chroniclers were to see them), his concert was a party. Perhaps the best party of the day. The Bordello combined their own issues and Balkan (Start Wearing Purple, My Companjera or Wonderlust King) with others that gave them a touch harder. Hard to the point of asking for a circle pit several times (and no one answered, by the way). Apparently, Eugene Hütz begins to deny the ska and gypsy style and prepares material "rock and roll", but for now all that mixture of ska, funk, rock, of so many members and even social discourse ( Immigrated song touched on the theme that 'no human being is illegal') works. And cold beer in hand, brings happiness to the dancers below.
Late at night, and again with absolute punctuality (remember that in Rock in Rio everything works fine) Incubus were going out to play. They opened strong, Privilege and Megalomaniac, just like old times, almost like when they shared the bill with System of a Down and Marilyn Manson and the thing burned cars and ended in total chaos ... This time, after so many years without coming to the capital the thing was quieter. Not disappointed at all, because in addition to this opening, Brandon Boyd delighted us with almost all mythical (Anna Molly, Are you in?, Nice to Know You, Love Hurts or Sick Sad Little World to close), accompanied by others such as In the Company of Wolves and Adolescents, quietest and most recent left and a bit away from Incubus years ago.
But there she was going to see almost everyone was a Red Hot Chili Peppers. And that does not make or eight months that passed through here (played in December at the Palais des Sports). Many repeated quote: No matter when it comes to such heavyweights, with many years of career behind him show stay in shape. Two hours with encores (the only concert that included), hops and almost pine bridges, black and white screens, more than a bass solo, looking to wonder whose bassist and a set list of classics to please staff. Although there were some who failed him (so many years that put them all complicated) were not lacking, among others, Can not Stop, Under the Bridge, Californication, By the Way or Give it Away, accompanied by fireworks in the background to close .
Full Direct Red Hot Chili Peppers Rock In Rio 2012
While with them more than half of the enclosure put an end to the only night this rock Rock in Rio, there were still two hours long it would bring Deadmau5 electronics: from the outside and compared with the rest, capacity languished. Inside, they endured (know that for some, and his attire mouse ears in imitation of the DJ, this was the highlight of the night), did not stop. Nor wonder: Deadmau5 respasó again and again his hits Strobe, Ghosts n 'Stuff, Some Chords and Raise Your Weapon, which now, along with the sexy singer Sofia Toufa, finished animating the matter.
No more fireworks, ended an evening of music and commercially without failure. Back, free shuttle and space for everyone to fall asleep on the way: one of these facilities may not be very rock but at five in the morning, thanks. So within a couple of summers, City of Rock.

Pitch
It's once again "The stage is set" for newcomer bands from Munich and surrounding areas! On 26 June in the TonHalle place the seventh edition of the tone row. Three young bands want to bring the gallery into the TonHalle to rock!
The Young Chinese dogs originated from a project by singer-songwriter Nick Meier riding in January 2011. By 2009 Nick had released an EP under that name, the first sensation. The Süddeutsche Zeitung called at that time in their online edition of the EP as "the hottest debut of the year" and Tomte head Thees Uhlmann praised the acoustic music to the BR Zündfunk: "Insane beautiful song to be heart ... may be the one Britpop ballad ? call Early 2011, Oliver joined guitarist Anders Hendriksson to the project. What began as a vague idea, 2009, maturing within a few weeks to a tangible concept: "may be played that hand may be worn to the gig," With high-profile changing line-up the Young Chinese Dogs play in the first six months, twenty concerts, including the Tollwood festival in Munich at the invitation of the Süddeutsche Zeitung. The Mama Jokes, founded in 2008 inspired, with a mixture of danceable indie rock, Brit-pop and house influences. Indie guitars with melodic organ riffs, pounding drums make driving and rolling basslines. In the middle of the music is the voice of a charming singer, who is supported by thoughtful background vocals. With stylish compositions and secure a convincing live performance occupied the first place at Mama Jokes House of Music 2011, the newcomer contest MHMK of Munich.
The Tramps Thursday from Munich whiz. They filled in their first concert at the Munich club scene effortlessly 59:1. The music of these four young gentlemen, is the danceable "Kooks"-style, reminiscent of the cool Drive Mando Diao and sometimes even to the early Stones - a bit retro, but its own.
After delivering the first live recorded EP "Green Carpet sessions" with the scene anthem "Summer is Over" is found in ex-Kook Max Rafferty an ardent fan who brings the band as support on his tour. "You're a brilliant band and great guys too" - so what if the master says ...
