Joey Cape - for all can not do anything with the name - is a singer and guitarist of punk band Lagwagon the band Me First And The Gimme Gimmes. Who does not know ... the "punk rock anthems" à la "May 16", "Alien 8" or "Violins". :-)
His new single as a solo artist, "Going for the bronze" is an opportunity here to show what a bit of his solo career and a sneak peek at the upcoming concert at 23.02. to be in Munich.
For a few years ago Joey Cape has been creating acoustic "music delicacies" attention. Together with Tony Sly - frontman of No Use for a Name - he interprets songs by Lagwagon and No Use for a Name and published them on the new album Tony Sly and Joey Cape Acoustic.
Here's an idea of how the - for the most well-known - "punk rock hits of our youth" :-) reacted, acoustic ... been with Joey Cape "Violins"

With the album released Joey Cape Bridge then Akusitk 2008 his first solo album. Feeling full, otherwise ... impressive!

P.S. The sweet girl who danced so hard Hula Hoop is Joey's daughter Violet!
My recommendation: 23 February 2010, Munich, 59 to 1, Joey Cape & Tony Sly LIVE. Together with Jon Snodgrass is another crazy 'acoustic jam sessions. "A must for all fans of acoustic as well as Lagwagon and No Use For A Name - Friends. For more concert information available here.
