2006 - A mere 16 year old girl joins the London folk collective Noah And The at Whale, two years later published her solo debut, "Alas, I Can not Swim" which is the same for the prestigious Mercury Prize nomination and causes a stir . Their second album "Alas I Can" in 2010, also a critic favorite, landed immediately on number 4 on the British charts and earned her a Brit Award as best female artist.
